About the Role
As our Senior Accountant / Team Leader, you’ll work closely with the Manager and wider team to:
Compliance & Advisory
Prepare and review tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships)
Work across FBT, CGT, Div 7A, PSI, Depreciation
Oversee BAS, GST, PAYG, and corporate tax compliance
Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
Deliver strategic tax and financial advice
Leadership & Mentoring
Manage workflow and review outputs across compliance and advisory
Lead and mentor junior and intermediate staff
Contribute to process improvements and help shape the firms growth
Bring a long-term career mindset, with potential to manage an offshore team in future
Client Relationships
Liaise with clients via email, answering queries and acquiring documents
Ensure 100% accuracy, timeliness, and top-quality deliverables
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
CA/CPA qualified
7+ years in Australian public practice
2+ years in a leadership, workflow, or review capacity
Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, AASB standards, and compliance
Confident with Xero, Excel, MYOB, QuickBooks, and tax tools
Excellent written and verbal communication
Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with FYI Docs or similar DMS
A natural mentor with a warm, approachable style
Strong process improvement mindset
Experience across a range of industries and client sizes
Long-term mindset and excitement for future leadership opportunities
