Core Responsibilities:
You’ll work closely with our creative director, turning raw ideas and recordings into powerful content that educates, converts, and builds trust with African entrepreneurs.
Edit short-form + long-form content for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Add captions, overlays, motion graphics, transitions, and effects that sharpen the message.
Adapt every video to platform-specific best practices (ratios, pacing, hooks).
Maintain brand consistency and storytelling flow across all edits.
Keep files organized and deliver export-ready versions on time.

Required Skills:
Adobe Premiere Pro (primary).
After Effects (motion graphics + transitions).
Photoshop / Illustrator (thumbnails + assets).
Bonus: CapCut or DaVinci Resolve (fast edits, color grading).
Eye for detail + story sense.
Ability to work fast without sacrificing quality.
Comfort giving and receiving direct feedback.
A learning obsession. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you must adapt, experiment, and push for better. We’ll grow you into a world-class content producer if you’re hungry.
Experience:
1–3 years of professional editing minimum.
Strong reel showing storytelling rhythm, overlays, transitions, and motion graphics.
Proven experience editing social-first content.
Bonus: Work with business/tech/education content.
Soft Skills:
Sharp storytelling instincts.
Obsessed with details + clean structure.
Open to feedback, fast at turnarounds.
Self-driven, reliable, consistent.
Bonus Points:
Deep understanding of TikTok/short-form retention editing.
Comfort with Notion or collaboration tools.
Animation / 2D graphics ability.
Hungry to grow with the team.

Test Task:
We’ll provide a 45–60s raw talking-head clip.
Your task
1. Add captions (clean, branded style)
2. Add motion graphics/overlays that highlight key points
3. Cut with retention pacing (fast, scroll-stopping)
Submit the final edit + project files (Premiere/AE). Include a 1-page note explaining:
Why you chose that hook.
What retention tactics you used.
What you’d improve if re-recording.
