The US base salary range for this position is $121-210K + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:
Key Role: This Scientist role will provide technical support to a Program Manager and a new program. Apply Robotics Engineering and Interdisciplinary Scientist expertise to help conceptualize, create, and execute government funded research and development programs to meet organization’s mission to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone.
This SETA duties included but are not limited to:
Contribute to a multidisciplinary team building the future of affordable, safe autonomous robotic assistive devices for the elderly and disabled.
Provide subject matter expertise across all aspects of integrated robotics systems development and factors affecting operational deployment in direct human contact applications
Evaluate technical proposals for scientific merit and innovation. Provide feedback, organize reviewer comments, draft recommendations and project summaries, and presentation materials.
Perform market analyses, technical due diligence, and literature reviews and generate briefing documents summarizing technical topics related to application of autonomous mobile robots and exoskeletons to health care applications for the elderly and disabled.
Develop technical and administrative programmatic documentation on short timelines to communicate technical approach, progress, cost, schedule and risk for advanced robotics development efforts
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, and other related disciplines with 2+ years’ experience / Masters in relevant disciplines with 5+ years experience.
Remote is acceptable.
Additional Experience:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, and MATLAB.
Expertise in circuit design, microcontrollers, and embedded systems for robotic systems
Experience with sensor/actuator integration and data fusion for simultaneous localization, mapping, and planning.
Familiarity with robotic operating systems for simulation, visualization, and communication between different components
Understanding of AI and ML techniques for developing intelligent behaviors and robotic decision-making processes
Experience with User-Centered Design for customer-needs-driven engineering development
Team-oriented with exceptional communication, writing, and organizational skills
Prior experience supporting commercial innovation centers, university applied robotics centers, ARPA-like programs (e.g., DARPA, IARPA, APRA-E), or U.S. DoD advanced development programs is desired, but not required.
