About this Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Manager Clinical, Safety and Quality, this role is an integral part of the Clinical Safety and Quality team.
The Remote/Industrial Clinical Safety and Quality Facilitator is responsible for ensuring the RFDS SA/NT leads strong governance and emergency care advice and support to BHP remote clinicians. This role will be located in either Adelaide or Port Augusta.
In this role, you will utilise your knowledge and expertise to:
– Implement and maintain Clinical Safety and Quality frameworks in alignment with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards NSQHS Standards and RFDS policies.
– Coordinate and support the consistent implementation of infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a safe clinical environment across remote/industrial site operations.
– Develop and manage the Infection Control Management Plan inclusive of maintaining a surveillance strategy to inform infection risks.
– Lead the Clinical Audit Program, including monitor, review and reporting on the status of the annual RFDS SA/NT Clinical Audit Program.
– Support clinical safety and quality improvement strategies, systems and projects
– Monitor clinical incidents and consumer feedback entered in the incident management system to ensure appropriate allocations, risk ratings, and data reporting. Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) processes and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
– Provide advice regarding workforce health screening, immunisation, fit testing, and prevention of staff infections.
About You

You have:
– Experience or demonstrated interest in remote emergency care.
– Knowledge and understanding of the clinical governance principles, NSQHS Standards, relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, and a demonstrated interest in infection prevention and control practices in diverse healthcare settings.
– The ability to analyse, interpret and utilise clinical data to support service development, risk reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
– Excellent communication skills, including high level reporting writing, presenting to varied audiences and building effective working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
– Effective time management skills and the ability to achieve planned timelines
To be considered for the role you require:
– Bachelor’s degree in Paramedic of Health Science.
– Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paramedic in Australia.
