Role Overview:
The SQL Server DBA will manage and optimize database systems across on-premises, Azure SQL, and MySQL environments. This role ensures high availability, data integrity, and optimal performance while supporting Quest’s data needs. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases (standalone, clustered, Always On AGs). Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning. Execute backups, disaster recovery, and patching/upgrades with minimal downtime. Configure linked servers and integrate Salesforce data via DBAmp. Collaborate with development teams to design scalable database schemas. Automate tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, and other scripting tools.
Requisitos
Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience. 4–6 years of experience as a professional Microsoft SQL Server DBA. Strong expertise in Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) and Always On Availability Groups (failover, synchronization, listener configuration). Experience with networking, backups, and disaster recovery planning. Fluency in English (spoken and written). Location: Panama (100% remote – candidate must reside in Panama)
