The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Accountant to join our growing finance team. This full-time, remote position, based in the Philippines, is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will play a key role in supporting our budgeting processes and ensuring precise financial reporting, contributing directly to our operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Bookkeeping & Transaction Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
Budgeting Support: Assist with the development, monitoring, and analysis of company budgets, helping to track expenditures against plans and identify variances.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, with a particular focus on Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, to provide clear insights into financial performance.
Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance: Support adherence to financial policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
Data Entry & Management: Accurately input and manage financial data within our accounting systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with other finance team members and departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Experience with budgeting and preparing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience working in the mental health or healthcare industry.
Familiarity with U.S. accounting practices.
