Purpose of Role
As a member of the Asia Regional Product Marketing Team, you will have a good understanding of Santen’s vision, strategy, and direction of the Asia CFU under the Head of Regional Marketing’s guidance. The primary goal will be to contribute to the growth of the Asia business by executing in the following areas:
① TA/Brand and MTP strategy: Draft and plan long-term TA, brands and MTP strategies that align with the TA direction, global strategy, and regional or local needs of important markets. Actively get involved in the actualization process and lead value maximization efforts
② Strategic penetration and improvement: Focus on strategic penetration and the improvement of strategy in each country through TA strategy implementation and new product strategy
③ Organization development: Play a key role in educating and growing local marketing members, developing them into global talent with strategic and forward-thinking skills
As the Assistant Regional Product Manager, you will be responsible for executing the following tasks:
Draft and plan respective brand strategy/MTP strategy aligned with TA direction, global strategy, and regional or local needs of important markets, then execute and drive local marketing efforts.
Draft and plan new product business plans and lead projects at an early stage
Finance & Sales target, M/S contribution:
Manage and achieve target values in sales, P/L, and Sales & General Admin cost (SGA)
Improve the market share of respective TA/brands (especially strategic products) in the target region and country
Customer satisfaction improvement:
Create and execute ideas to improve customer satisfaction by aligning with Asian market needs
Deliver the value of pre/post-launched products through respective brand strategy and related society/congress strategy/activities (speaker tours, etc.)
Communicate and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders (especially regional strategic marketing, regional MA, and other regions’ marketing teams) to maximize local drive
Internal business process excellence:
Create a framework and structure to maintain consistency with upper direction in respective brand strategy management
Develop a collaborative framework and structure with strategic marketing to lead and maximize TA product marketing
Develop a framework for forecasting future markets and proposing future pipeline ideas for marketing
New product launches:
Leading new product launch readiness, develop robust launch plan and cascade effectively to local teams
Drive the launch excellence to contribute the successful market penetration.
Initiate necessary program to develop KOLs, shape the market and drive product values
In-depth market analysis:
In-depth analysis and insight into market and environment.
Exploration and creation of new markets
Share differentiated and competitive creative ideas for strategy
Developing high-quality and differentiated promotional tools (to meet the customer’s needs)
Implementation & operation of the promotional tools with innovative and high quality (e.g. symposium, key brochure, advertise and etc.)
Key customers management:
Management and handling of key medical societies and support for penetration into society as local country
Building strong trust and developing of MTLs and Key speakers in Asia region
Manage and initiate the effective cross-function collaboration (Strategic marketing, RMA, CE and local marketing teams, etc.)
Sharing various market and product information in a timely manner with Asia region
Compliance with SOPs, internal processes, and planned operation of SGA
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, or equivalent.
Over 10 years of total experience in brand marketing and sales reps in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years of experience in marketing.
Strong product, industry, and market knowledge in the pharmaceutical channel.
Experience in planning respective TA strategy and execution.
Experience in product management and a proven track record of successful performance.

In-depth knowledge of respective disease and products.
Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Fluent in advanced spoken and written English.
Good presentation skills at an advanced level.
Advanced MS Office skills.
Willingness to travel and make field visits extensively.
