The Role
Taptap Send is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our Trading team to grow our Asian trading activities. You will lead emerging market (EM) currency sourcing and execution capabilities for the region. You will be tasked with building deep market understanding and cultivating relationships with in-country liquidity providers. Your work will help deliver market leading exchange rates for our customers.
You’ll work as part of the FX & Treasury team, with close collaboration with the wider in-country teams (Bangladesh, New York, Dubai to name a few), ensuring Taptap Send continues to exceed growth and customer expectations. Responsibilities
Own the funding & trading of Taptap Send’s Asian emerging market currencies.
Optimise fund flows to secure the best price for our customers.
Go deep within your markets to build a complex understanding of the structural dynamics of the local FX liquidity and associated macro factors.
Travel to meet local stakeholders and liquidity providers.
Work alongside our in-country teams to source market leading FX liquidity providersManage capital intensity, counterparty credit limits and funding optimisation.
Requirements
Have 4+ years of professional experience in finance, technology, operations, or a similar field.
Have experience managing commercial relationships with key partners.
Be passionate about our mission to deliver low cost transfers to our customers & emerging markets.
Share our excitement to work across global teams and have the curiosity to build deep local expertise.
Have proven analytical skills (Excel); SQL a plusBonus if you have experience in FX trading, sourcing liquidity, or EM finance.
Bonus if you are familiar with the partner countries we work with – Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Madagascar, Nepal, soon IndiaHave the right to work in your residency locationIdeally Dubai based, but open to other locations
