What’s needed from you…
At Leaf Book, we help business owners by providing expert financial guidance and accounting services that empower them to thrive, by ensuring financial clarity, improving cash flow, and driving profit through a personalized approach.
We need you to manage the financial operations, including accounts payable management and some bookkeeping functions, for multiple clients, so Summer, our owner, can focus on growing the business.
You will ensure accurate financial data, improve cash flow, and guide financial decision-making. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and documenting processes and procedures to improve the financial operations of our clients, helping them achieve long-term financial success.
Given this is a 100% trusted professional work-from-home position, we’re looking for you to have rock-solid high-speed internet and a backup power source for those unexpected outages to help keep you online.

What are you in charge of…
– Work closely with the Fractional CFO to provide strategic financial oversight for multiple small business clients, including cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
– Provide strategic financial oversight for multiple clients, including cash flow management, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
– Manage accounts payable and oversee the bookkeeping functions for clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
– Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
– Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant financial regulations (if applicable).
– Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for clients to improve operational efficiency.
– Create, document, and maintain standardized financial processes and procedures for clients, ensuring consistency and efficiency in financial operations.
– Collaborate closely with clients to understand their financial needs, providing tailored recommendations and guidance.
– Prepare financial statements and present them to clients, offering insights into financial health and suggestions for improvement.
– Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting with key financial decisions and long-term planning.
– Coordinate with tax advisors, auditors, and other external partners to ensure accurate and compliant financial practices.
– Train and mentor client accounting staff when needed to enhance their capabilities.
– Maintain confidentiality and act in the best interest of each client in alignment with our firm’s values.

You need to have…
– 3 years QuickBooks experience. QB Enterprise experience is a plus.
– 2 years of accounts payable experience
– 3 years US bookkeeping experience
Preferred (Not required):
– Experience with Xero
– Assistant Controller experience
– QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certified
– Public accounting experience (It doesn’t have to be the Big 4.)
Pay and benefits…
For this full time role, starting pay is $1000 per month depending on experience. If you believe you have more to offer, tell us what you’d like and why you’re able to deliver more value.
Work Hours…
Full time position (40 hours/week)
At least 4 hours of overlap with US CST while training. This can be reduced over time as you learn the role.
