Raison Finance is a fintech startup founded in 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia. Now it’s an investment holding company and multi-family office specializing in venture capital. We offer a wide range of financial products for both individual and corporate clients. What We’re Working On:
We are developing a mobile application for iOS and Android, with the backend implemented in PHP 8 using Symfony and Laravel frameworks. Our development ecosystem includes Kubernetes, GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Grafana, and Prometheus. You’ll be joining a highly professional team where there’s always something new to learn. Work remotely or from one of our comfortable offices located around the world.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a backend developer to join our project team. You will work on the backend of our application (REST API), participate in designing and discussing tasks and architecture, and contribute to new features from both technical and product perspectives. You’ll see product features through from conception to implementation and deployment to production.
Tasks
Develop the backend of the project (REST API using Symfony 6.4) and our internal CRM system (Laravel) in close collaboration with the frontend team.
Maintain integrations with external systems.
Develop new functionalities and architectural solutions.
Enhance and evolve the existing codebase.
Refactor code and perform code reviews.
Requirements
Excellent knowledge and experience with:
PHP 8
Frameworks: Symfony 6, Laravel 11
Frontend Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Tools and Platforms: Linux, Git, Docker, Nginx
Containerization: Docker and containerized applications
Principles and Practices: SOLID, DRY, KISS concepts, DDD principles
Security and Reliability: Understanding of security best practices and fault tolerance
Databases: SQL (MySQL 8), ability to design databases and write optimized complex queries
Coding Standards: Writing code according to PSR standards
Testing: Unit testing
Design Patterns: Knowledge and practical application Nice to Have:
Experience with web environment tools like caching systems, monitoring, and logging.
Experience working on projects with large codebases.
