The Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to drive our growth from the ground up. This is an equity-only position (1–5%) at an early-stage startup — perfect for someone who wants to play a key role in building a company and share in its future success.
Important: This is not a salaried role at this stage. Compensation will be equity-based only until the company generates (sustainable) revenue. Please apply only if you are comfortable with this arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in software development, IT consulting, and IT services.
Build and manage relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, sales, and market expansion.
Represent Cabbage Technologies at networking events, meetups, and online communities.
Collaborate with the leadership team to shape pricing models, service packages, and market positioning.
Prepare proposals, pitches, and partnership agreements.
Track and report on business development KPIs.

Requirements
Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnerships — preferably in tech or IT services.
Strong network and ability to open doors to decision-makers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a startup environment.
Passion for technology, problem-solving, and creating value for clients.
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)
Closing at least 3–5 new client accounts in the first 6 months.
Establishing 2–3 strategic partnerships that lead to recurring revenue.
Creating a sustainable lead pipeline with qualified prospects every month.
Increasing brand visibility through industry events, networking, and thought leadership.
Direct contribution to revenue growth in line with company targets.
