Your responsibilities…
Create amazing animations for cinematic sequences
Blocking out animations and quick iteration on pre-viz
Convey storytelling and emotion through realistic animation
Collaborate closely with the Art, Design, Animation, Narrative, and Production teams
Understand technical restraints while seeking out innovative solutions
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Five or more years’ experience in the games industry producing AAA game cinematics
Effective communication and organizational skills
Excellent understanding of cinematics, narrative, and character development
Experience with early stages of cinematic development from storyboard to animatic, blockout etc
A portfolio reflecting high-quality game cinematics and a breakdown of each shot detailing your involvement
Full understanding of contemporary game development workflows, pipelines
Working knowledge of Maya and MotionBuilder
Experience with facial animation
Strong hand-key skills and a range of different animation styles
Experience with motion capture editing and cleanup
A desire to learn new techniques and technologies
Good understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and the Sequencer
Non-essential but desirable extras…
Experience with various styles of art direction
Drawing/painting skills to help convey ideas
A strong interest in video games and cinematography
Experience with quadrupeds and creature animation
