Our Team strives to be the most trusted support services partner and to keep our customers online businesses up and running. We utilize tools, process and knowledge to diagnose and resolve product, platform, and customer issues. Our team delivers managed services for both media and security to proactively maintain quality and protect our customers’ online presence.

Make a difference to our business

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will solve complex technical issues for our customers. You will proactively reviewing and mitigating risk. You will also minimize any potential service disruptions for some of the top companies in APJ.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Working unassisted with the customers managing customer incidents and escalations to closure

Collaborating with customers and internal cross-functional teams to identify, diagnose, resolve and report on technical issues

Contributing to the strategic direction of the global support team to develop and implement best practices

Partnering with internal Sales, Services, Engineering and Support teams to ensure customer success on the Akamai platform

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or related field

Have experience with working on web application issues (HTML, javascript, JSP)

Be well versed in internet protocols such as HTTP(S), TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, network routing and troubleshooting

Be experienced in providing technical solutions and customer-facing support

Have knowledge of technologies in cloud infrastructure eg. cloud compute, object storage, Load balance, Firewall etc

Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally with customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders

Demonstrate an aptitude for building trusted relationships with customers and providing guidance to wider team members

Have proficiency in English and Mandarin, the role will required to support Greater-China customers
