Cloud Support Engineer Senior – Remote

We handle the toughest Customer Support issues and share insights with the Compute Support team. Our focus is on continuously enhancing our technical skillsand those of our teamto deliver the best possible Support experience for our customers.
Partner with the best
You’ll work with Site Reliability Engineering and Product Development to solve complex customer issues, investigating JIRA escalations from Support. Your role includes identifying best practices, improving troubleshooting methods, mentoring Support members, and collaborating with Training and Quality Control to enhance learning.
As a Cloud Support Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

Solving Customer issues reported to us from the Support team via JIRA.

Working with SRE and Product teams to determine the best course of action for specific customer issues.

Working with Training, Quality Control, and Support Leadership to identify training opportunities for the Compute Support team.

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience working directly with customers in a technical support capacity.

Exhibit great collaboration skills and maintain a customer-first approach in issue resolution.

Understand fundamental customer support principles, including customer effort reduction, issue ownership, and intrateam communication.

Possess a good understanding of: computer hardware, networking, firewalls, DNS, Linux, cloud computing, distributed storage, APIs, and Kubernetes.

Have experience troubleshooting technical issues using standard tools like MTR, tcpdump, and nmap.

Know open-source monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. Use them to understand and resolve customer issues.
