– Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech’s headcount, full-time second to serve the SBU;
The appointed staff is required to work in the following areas:
1. Maintain and monitor network infrastructure and connections, manage network management systems and log servers, and take immediate recovery actions when network connections fail. This involves reconfiguring settings on routers, switches, VPN tunnels, firewalls, SSLVPN and authentication appliances, and other network components.
2. Provide technical details and departmental liaison to the relevant parties for configuring GCIS firewall rules, CRPS, load balancers, Cloudflare, and other related components.
3. Provide support for departmental IT system and services including e-Leave, e-Form, iAM Smart, SOA-WiFi, MiFare systems, Knox/Soti MDMs, FPS, Spatial/Open Data, GTSA, Facebook/Instagram, WCAG, ISCCA, CSP, GNET, GCIS, GCN, CMS, IAS, IMX, etc.
4. Maintain the smooth operation, and manage patch and firmware updates for system servers (both on-premises and hosted in GCIS), hypervisors, SAN Storage, VTL, SAN switches, network storage and appliances, departmental portals, network equipment and peripherals. Monitor and evaluate security alerts, assess potential impact, conduct trial run in staging environments, manage backups and updates, etc.
5. Act as the Technical Lead for projects/tasks and work pro-actively with department users and out-sourced contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Duties include collecting user requirement, preparing procurement specifications and evaluation report, performing product evaluations, providing technical advice, reviewing contractor deliverables, monitoring contractor progress and work quality, resolving conflicts and following up on all project-related matters. Types of projects include, but not limited to SRAA and PIAA, CMMP, GovHRMS, New_OSDP II Upgrade, Hypervisor Platform and NAS Migration, Departmental Network Upgrade, Windows 11 Upgrade, and Implementation of EDR/NDR solutions, etc.
6. Implement safeguards to address security findings, manage vendors to apply the appropriate security measures and workarounds, and update Security Compliance Status and Compliance Audit Follow-up Status.
7. Carry out other IT-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements 1. Bachelors degree / Higher Diploma holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
2. Experience in network and router configuration (e.g. Cisco, H3C, and/or Huawei) is required.
3. Experience in providing support for Windows AD and server virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware and/or Hyper-V) is required.
4. Knowledge in IT security principles is required.
5. Experience with firewalls (e.g. Sonicwall and/or Fortinet) and/or authentication systems (e.g. Sonicwall SMA) is preferred.
6. Experience with IT infrastructure (e.g. email system and/or SAN storage) and security technologies (e.g. endpoint security solutions) is preferred.
7. Familiar with government IT policies and guidelines (G3 and S17) is preferred.
8. Familiar with government IT procurement procedures is preferred.
9. Experience in computer project life cycle is preferred.
Other requirements
1. Able to solve technical problems proactively, optimize system administration tasks, keep system documents updated, etc.
2. Required to work in headquarters and other branch offices, when necessary.

Technical Skills:
. At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA);
. At least 3 years’ experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP);
. At least 3 years’ experience in Departmental Portal (DPS);
. At least 3 years’ experience in Network & System Management (NSM);
. At least 3 years’ experience in Router Configuration (ROU);
. At least 3 years’ experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
. At least 2 years’ experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS);
. At least 2 years’ experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI);
. At least 2 years’ experience in IT Security (ITS);
. 3 years’ experience in Lotus Notes Mail Admin. & Technical Support (LNM) is an advantage;
. 3 years’ experience in Remote Access Server (RAS) is an advantage;
. 3 years’ experience in e-Leave (ELE) is an advantage;
. 3 years’ experience in Confidential Mail System (CMS) is an advantage;
. 3 years’ experience in Storage Area Network (SAN) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in Authentication Server (AUS) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in System Backup Operation (BKO) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SAA) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:
. At least 3 years’ experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. 3 years’ experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in Government tendering procedures (GTP) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in project management (PRM) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in site preparation (SPE) is an advantage;
. 2 years’ experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage.
– Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
– At least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year’s relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
