One of our companies is currently looking for a Data Engineer in Australia.

You will be working across data engineering, machine learning engineering, and analytics to support a fast-growing organization. Your role will involve building robust pipelines, ensuring data reliability, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop data-driven solutions. Accountabilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data from diverse sources

Enhance platform performance, observability, and reliability

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure efficient data usage aligned with compliance and privacy standards

Develop and maintain data models and transformations using tools like DBT and Airflow

Support the data platform’s infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices

Optimize user-facing data applications and troubleshoot performance issues

Requirements

Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift

Proficiency in SQL and Python for data modeling and querying

Familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows and orchestration tools like DBT and Airflow

Experience with AWS cloud services, including infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD

Bonus: knowledge of AWS data tools like EMR, MWAA, or MSK

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a user-focused mindset

Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and make pragmatic engineering decisions
