JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join a cross-functional team, working closely with R&D, Analytics and Product teams. This individual will play a critical role in validating product hypotheses through measuring impact based on data. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a deep understanding of retail and/or business operations, and experience working in data-driven environments. This role requires someone who has experience in working multi-disciplinary squads.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Master Data Cleansing and Management
Perform ad hoc master data cleansing efforts to support data analysis
Contribute to the implementation of automatic master data cleansing mechanisms with observations and ideas
Identify data consistency issues across various platforms and suggest ways to solve them accordingly
Data Analysis and Reporting
Understand product, value proposition and hypotheses to be tested. Contribute to
the definition of key performance metrics. * Perform in-depth data analysis to measure the potential impact of various product hypotheses
Prepare reports and insights for various stakeholders to showcase analysis results
Contribute to the development of client facing dashboards and reports
Build internal reporting to facilitate operational management
Cross-functional collaboration
Identify opportunities to improve data integration, reporting capabilities, and data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with R&D teams to understand the technical limitations and capabilities of the data platform, ensuring that business requirements are feasible and actionable.
Partner with Product Managers to evaluate feature requests and ensure that the product roadmap aligns with business objectives and strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in a data-driven or technology-focused environment.
Experience working with R&D, Product, Data or Engineering teams to gather and analyse requirements for technical projects.
Strong understanding and mastery of data platforms, cloud technologies, data analytics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL).
Ability to work with large datasets, perform data analysis, and derive actionable insights.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience working with enterprise data solutions.
Knowledge of machine learning, AI, and data science concepts is DESIRABLE.
Familiarity with the retail industries and retail specific data (eg. NielsenIQ, IRI) is a STRONG plus.
