We’re looking for someone who enjoys making complex technology easier to understand and use. You love to explore new tools, share what you’ve learned and connect with other developers through content, events or online communities.
As a Developer Advocate at Zyte, you’ll help developers discover and succeed with our tools – especially Zyte API and Scrapy. You’ll create content, sample projects and tutorials; engage with communitiy and bring real developer feedback back to our product and marketing teams.
You don’t need to be an expert in everything already – we’re looking for someone curious, community-minded and eager to grow.
Create developer-friendly content (articles, videos, webinars, code samples, and tutorials)
Show how to solve web scraping and data extraction challenges using Zyte tools
Engage with developer communities via social media, forums and events
Speak at or attend tech meetups, conferences and virtual sessions (with support if needed!)
Collaborate with our marketing and product teams to share community insights
Highlight and support external community members who use and share our tools
Contribute ideas to improve documentation and learning resources
Share updates with developers across the channels you’re comfortable with (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, forums, etc.)
Requirements:
Around 3 years of experience in developer relations, advocacy, engineering, or similar roles – or equivalent hands-on experience
Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with web technologies and APIs
An interest in web scraping and how data powers innovation
Experience writing technical content or explaining concepts to a broad audience
A desire to help and empower developers in authentic, meaningful ways
Good communication skills (verbal and written), and willingness to grow in public speaking with support
Experience participating in or contributing to online developer communities
The ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed team
Bonus Points (Not Required!)
Experience with Scrapy, headless browsers, or web scraping frameworks
Background in community building, developer events, or open-source contribution
