Responsible for driving sales of their API Drug Product services to biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the United States. Play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and expanding their market presence.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives, primarily selling API Drug Product Services.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet clients’ specific needs and requirements.
Lead contract negotiations and ensure the successful closure of deals.
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market developments to senior management.
Work with Preclinical Discovery BD group to continue servicing pre-existing clients into late stage API manufacturing and development.

Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or other related discipline.
5+ years of industry experience in Biotech, preferably in a Business Development role.
1-3 years of BD experience selling some sort of Drug Product is highly preferred
Strong understanding of the API/Drug Product manufacturing space for late stages
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.
