General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Director of Applications – Commercial Excellence (Cx) reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Applications and is accountable for the complete Cx application lifecycle management for Wilbur-Ellis’ enterprise Cx applications. This position will provide strategic leadership across the Wilbur-Ellis business line commercial excellence teams and develop innovative strategic application plans and roadmaps aligned to the achievement of correlated business outcomes. The position will also coordinate and direct all activities related to application execution such as design, architecture, integration, development, testing, and implementation. The position will also be responsible for the operational excellence of all Cx applications, including contracts, Cx application helpdesk tickets, budgets, compliance, security, and SLAs.
In this role, The Director of Applications Cx will collaborate closely with Cx business partners (Sales and Marketing), IT Teams, Strategy Development and Execution, Security, Technology, and Enterprise Support. You will lead a collaborative environment where PMs, BAs, Architects, and developers can thrive and work effectively with other IT teams to deliver quality implementations. You will oversee the IT service providers and other vendors offering services and provide direction and management of direct reports, including matrixed reports. Lastly, as the leader of this group, you will develop direct reports and create goals that align with the Cx applications roadmap.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited four-year university.
10+ years of direct experience with architecture, system design, and application lifecycle management.
8+ years’ experience in building business partnerships and delivering enterprise applications.
8+ years of leadership experience with proven experience in management roles.
8+ Years of CRM planning, design, development, integration, implementation, and support experience.
5+ years of extensive program management and providing technical solutions to Sales and Marketing
Successful ALM oversight of applications, such as CRM (MS Dynamics 365), websites, pricing (Pros), eCommerce, CPQ, subscription billing, and sales incentive planning are desirable.
Strong knowledge of design, modern development processes, and system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Solid understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.

Extensive knowledge of the Lead-to-Order process and integration.
Demonstrated commitment to continued learning and development.
Necessary business acumen to carry out functional process discussions with Sales and Marketing teams at multiple levels.
Bring thought leadership to enhance strategy, drive innovation, and translate into business outcomes.
Calculate current and future IT systems costs, identify areas to save money, and/or increase features/protection.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Provide strategic direction for the Cx application team to support business operations, ensuring that applications meet business requirements and systems goals and align with expected business outcomes.
Collaborate with team members across technology and business partners to identify innovative solutions delivered on time and within budget while establishing interdependencies, identifying risks, managing resource constraints, and eliminating roadblocks.
Prepare communications, such as weekly reporting and strategic business reviews, to senior leaders and external audiences to help lead the organization toward success.
Manage the enterprise Cx application department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, identifying application KPIs, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
Provide a leadership role and collaborate with key decision-makers in the organization in the strategic planning, development, testing, and implementation of Enterprise system components.
Manage Cx application team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and evaluation.
Strive for continuous improvement in our processes and procedures, and propose and implement changes to ensure a productive and efficient organization in partnership with the wider team.
Ability and desire to continually learn about new technologies and project management methodologies and adapt to ever-changing business and industry needs.

Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $179,900 to $251,940. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for commission, vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
