This role will require both a strategic and operational execution mindset with the ability to handle multiple priorities across the UHG matrix. This role will drive and support clinical program execution, process, and strategy for UCS implementations specific to the clinical integration work. This leader should have solid critical thinking skills and deep technical expertise with clinical processes/operations, and utilization management (UM), which supports consistency and alignment across clinical ecosystems. Candidate will lead a team of project managers to implement clinical integration work, UM projects (ICM, PACAM, PA) across all lines of business ensuring alignment between key stakeholders in intersegment departments. This leader will have demonstrated success in driving complex strategies and projects, knowledge of UHC clinical ecosystems, outstanding cross group organizational skills and agility, leading teams, superior communication skills (verbal and written), proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter.
Specialized Program Oversight: Oversight and accountability for a team of Implementation specialists responsible for collaboration and partnership with key UCS leaders and business stakeholders. This team will have the responsibility of supporting complex clinical implementation across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business and encompass a pooled team of resources that can flex into any type of specialized activity based on entity framework and streamlining to UHC standard.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop standardized processes for program management to produce consistent, successful outcomes and experiences for all relevant stakeholders

Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing processes and develop customized strategies for improvement

Support real-time strategy refinement utilizing lessons learned and best practices to drive continuous improvement across UCS implementation teams

Partners with key business stakeholders throughout the implementation process to develop and execute strategic plans that address business needs (current and emerging)

Effectively communicate implementation updates to senior management, employees, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support

Pro-actively identifies barriers to implementation and escalate when needed on a timely basis

Critical thinking, solid analytical skills, results oriented leader who can quickly synthesize information, assess value and connectedness to generate conclusions and best solutions

Team Management: Lead a team of implementation specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to maximize productivity and quality of service

Establishes and maintains relationships across the organization with applicable stakeholders to identify the operational and clinical impact of defined solutions, mitigate applicable risks and establish change management processes to drive effective launch and deployment of strategic initiatives

Project Management: Ensure that timelines, planning, scoping, and cost estimates support successful project completion

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of professional experience leading clinical program management and operational leadership surrounding cross functional implementation

Experience with clinical operations in UCS and ECS

Experience with various systems: ICUE, Cosmos, TOPS, NICE, UNET etc.

Experience with Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare business

Demonstrated experience creating and delivering professional presentations to both technology and business executives

Deep understanding of strategy and operations, with a demonstrated ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions

Proven ability to quickly understand needs and act on those needs; ability to conceptualize and effectuate change management and “out of the box” thinking

Proven solid communicator; capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively with executive levels

Proven highly influential, strategic thinker, willing to challenge siloed thinking and drive change at all levels of the organization

Proven self-starter with a track record of driving programs and projects in a matrix environment with demonstrated history of managing complex and scaled initiatives

Proven deep project management expertise including governance & socialization, IT build, financing, savings opportunity assessment, operational readiness, and post deployment monitoring of innovative programs and solutions geared to improve outcomes

Proven ability to handle highly confidential or sensitive information in a professional, discreet manner

Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and an established ability to balance multiple priorities to produce positive results in a dynamic environment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
