As the Capital Management Director, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the capital commitments for provider operations including productivity tracking, capital planning and funding, capital expense tracking, governance, business case development as well as financial risk mitigation. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of investments and benefits, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals. The director will partner with a multitude of teams including finance, workforce, product and business teams to optimize the performance of the capital portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage tracking of capital commitments for Provider Operations, in partnership with finance teams, including productivity targets, FTE plans, and SG&A

Oversee the selection, prioritization, and management of capital projects, ensuring optimal portfolio performance. Direct the allocation of capital funds, balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic investments

Create and maintain detailed financial models to support capital planning and forecasting activities

Prepare and present comprehensive reports on capital projects, financial performance, and investment outcomes to senior management and stakeholders

Support Leaders in the development of cost benefit analyses through the creation of financial models

Partners with finance and workforce partners to ensure capacity plans and P&L financials reconcile with productivity commitments

Identify and mitigate risks to financials, ensuring robust risk management practices are in place

Identifies and assesses the impact of financial decisions

Builds and cultivates cross-functional, cross-enterprise relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively leverages them to gain support, buy-in and to enable action

Conduct monthly variance analysis and reporting to identify key business gaps and exposures

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of progressive financial experience, preferably within Healthcare, Financial Services or equivalent Consulting experience

Ability to present information in a variety of different formats and to a wide audience level that includes Senior Executives.

Exceptional organization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands for resources and deadlines.

Demonstrated high level of proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint to summarize

Expert understanding of financial reporting, modeling and forecasting

Proven solid communicator capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively with executive-levels

Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead toward common goals

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
