Remote EAP Counselor
Healthcare Support is actively seeking a Remote EAP Counselor for a nation wide mental health organization. The position offers the flexibility of working 100% remote. Bilingual Candidates are encouraged to apply!
Daily Responsibilities for Remote EAP Counselor:
Offer goal-oriented phone support services to a diverse group of program participants.
Establish trust and rapport with participants through engaging interactions.
Assess individual needs (including life, work, emotional, financial, mental, and/or behavioral health) and identify opportunities for enhanced support.
Provide immediate access to interim clinical crisis services and counseling, if necessary.
Maintain regular communication with program participants, their care teams, and local support resources as per their prescribed wellness plans.
Offer advocacy, crisis intervention, personalized support, and problem-solving assistance.
Conduct quality of life assessments when appropriate to make accurate recommendations.
Utilize interviewing techniques and present-focused coaching to empower participants’ capacity for self-management.
Monitor and adjust the frequency and level of support based on individual progress.
Help participants understand the benefits available to them through their employer.
Maintain compliance with confidentiality and privacy requirements, including HIPAA.
Participate in professional and internal development opportunities.
Collaborate with coworkers to share and benefit from collective learnings.
Meet performance metrics
Perform other tasks as assigned
Shift: Monday – Friday | 10:30am – 7pm CST
Required Qualifications for Remote EAP Counselor:
Master’s degree in a mental health discipline and/or related field
Current valid license in a related field (LPC, LPCC, LAMFT, LMFT, LADC, LICSW, LGSW or LCSW)
2+ years of experience providing evidence-based treatments, short-term psychotherapy using outcomes management, and are excited and motivated to deliver clinical support via phone
Excellent interpersonal skills (communication and listening), especially over the phone, and a willingness to receive feedback
Strong computer proficiency with MS Office Suite

Pay Details: $35/hr – $43/hr DOE
