We’re supporting a fast-growing EdTech company in Taiwan in finding a backend developer skilled in Ruby on Rails. The platform reaches millions of users and combines gamification with digital learning to enhance K-12 education outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Build new backend features and optimize existing codebases
Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, PMs, and QA to improve product quality
Participate in architectural decisions and scale systems to support tens of millions of learning events per month
Improve database performance and system reliability
Conduct code reviews and help the team maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of backend development experience; strong understanding of web architecture
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
Solid database design and performance tuning experience (MySQL)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Hands-on experience in high-traffic environments
Familiar with Agile/Scrum practices; strong teamwork and communication
