How you’ll make an impact
As an Embedded Software Engineer focused on Embedded Security at PROSAFETY, you’ll be part of a dedicated team developing tailor-made solutions in safety-critical domains such as mobile automation, transportation, medical engineering, process and industrial automation, energy & drives. Your contribution will be meaningful and impactful.
You will:

Work on creation of securer software for embedded systems

Analyze systems through the lens of an attacker, conducting detailed threat modeling

Perform risk analyses and develop corresponding risk assessments, working with the security team to derive possible countermeasures that secure the embedded system

Design various security concepts to define in detail how a system must be protected

Define and implement functional requirements

Design and execute security tests

Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement of security processes

Work closely with system engineers, hardware developers, and test engineers to ensure secure solutions

Tech stack & Know-How

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT security or a related field

A strong interest or background in cybersecurity, ideally in embedded environments

Basic experience in C or C++ programming

Familiarity with fieldbus protocols and IoT technologies is an advantage

Proficiency in English is essential

German language skills are highly desirable – and if you’re not there yet, we offer intensive language courses through the Goethe Institute
