Panama Outsource Solutions is seeking an English speaking Web Support Engineer who is comfortable working with a small team of experienced engineers supporting our client’s web-based software solution that provides loan origination and loan servicing functions to their clients. The Web Support Engineer will serve as the point of contact providing support for Brokers and Lenders on the client’s proprietary system. On a regular basis, the role will break down to 60% support, 30% software testing, and 10% project management. The development and testing is done using various platforms, including Windows and Linux, using a variety of commercial and Open Source tools. As such, the role will have responsibility for test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications up to a moderate level of complexity. Additionally, the Web Support Engineer will be involved in the development of user stories, working alongside our team of developers and product owners. As a part of this, the Web Support Engineer will be responsible for creating backlog items based on customer feedback and bugs discovered during support. ADVANCED ENGLISH REQUIRED
Primary Responsibilities:

Become familiar with the customer system and to be comfortable working with our customers on it

Become familiar with the Private Money Real Estate Investment business

Assists internal and external customers with support issues, tracking those issues

Provides professional and courteous support to our Brokerage and Lender customers

Be able to properly document any issues that can not be corrected, so that our development can address them

Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with our sales, compliance, and engineering teams

Documents all issues and assists in their resolution

Participates in the internal quality consultation provided to business or technical partners

Records and reports on defects discovered during the QA and UAT testing phases

Fix data issues by creating SQL

Suggests and implements process improvements for Support, Quality Assurance and testing processes

Qualifications:

Advanced English required

Must be capable of working well in groups and independently

Must have demonstrably clear written and oral communication skills as well as analytical skills

Familiarity with issue tracking databases, such as Jira or Team Foundation Server

Phenomenal attention to detail

Proficiency in organization, prioritization and time management skills

Experience with SQL and Databases, preferably MySQL at an intermediate level

Application, or Customer Support experience

Experience quickly learning new software products

Demonstrated ability to learn business concepts

Experience working with remote team members & offshore developers

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with documenting software defects, writing test plans from predefined requirements and contributing to requirement definition to ensure testable requirement

Experience with CPanel and file structures

Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JS Education

AS, or BS in MIS, CSE, CS, or Physics or equivalent combination work experience in a similar function required.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, Regular hours aligned with EST time zone (Ideally 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm)
