A luxury African safari brand is looking for a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary experience at one of our exclusive 5-star safari camps in remote northern Botswana.
This camp hosts up to 24 guests and offers exclusive hospitality in the heart of the wilderness. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about exceptional cuisine, thrives in nature, and wants to grow with a respected African Tourism brand.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Botswana
Culinary diploma or similar professional qualification
At least 5 years’ experience as an Executive or Head Chef in a fine dining, lodge, or safari setting
Proven ability to lead a team and manage a busy kitchen
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
Creative, adaptable, and confident working in a remote environment
Duties
Craft and present beautifully prepared dishes that meet the highest standards of 5-star cuisine
Design seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Lead, train, and motivate a small team in the kitchen
Ensure food hygiene, cleanliness, and stock control are always top-notch
Collaborate with camp management to ensure an unforgettable guest experience
Accommodate dietary requirements with care and creativity
Promote sustainable cooking and eco-conscious kitchen practices
Contribute to a warm, professional, and guest-focused camp atmosphere
