Responsibilities & Context:
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled FastAPI developer to join our backend engineering team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling high-performance APIs using FastAPI, with a strong focus on Python async programming, clean architecture, and robust deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop scalable backend services and APIs using FastAPI and Python (async/await).
Integrate with PostgreSQL databases using SQLAlchemy or other ORMs.
Work with Docker to containerize services and streamline deployments.
Collaborate with the frontend and DevOps teams for seamless integration and CI/CD.
Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to system architecture decisions.
Must-Have Skills
Strong experience with FastAPI and asynchronous Python.
Solid understanding of Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, and REST API principles.
Experience with PostgreSQL and efficient database modeling.
Good understanding of Docker, and modern deployment workflows.
Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
Ability to write clean, modular code and reusable components.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with authentication (OAuth2, JWT).
CI/CD experience with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean).
Contributions to open-source projects or active GitHub portfolio.
