Job Description:
Background;
The Field Officer contributes to implementing, running, and monitoring the Midwifery program (s) in cooperation with the Project team. Based on the skills required for this position, she has the capacity to oversee programs with a degree of autonomy (e.g. delegations with remote management) and contributes actively to planning and coordinating health educational activities at the field level.
The duties and responsibilities of a Field Officer
Monitor and Implement Midwifery programs within her geographic area or field of responsibility/ expertise.
Assists the Project Manager in designing operational strategies and planning the midwifery program (s) at local/facility and Provincial levels.
Conducts assessments and regular field visits (when relevant) to monitor activities and Midwifery-related threats in the community and educational institute level.
Ensures proper management of information collected and appropriate, relevant reporting.
Helps organize meetings; advises staff members on various matters such as culture, politics, the economy, security, etc.
Interprets at meetings and translates documents into local languages.
Liaises and builds networks with local stakeholders to facilitate communication on and coordination of activities, thereby ensuring more efficient implementation of health programs.
