Finance Coordinator
Location: Remote (USA-based preferred, or must be available to work Eastern Time hours)
Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time (flexible depending on candidate availability)
Reports To: General Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Coordinator who is skilled in finance and administration and passionate about supporting mission-driven brands. The Finance Coordinator will ensure accurate, timely, and organized financial operations. This includes managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, invoicing, payment tracking, and supporting compliance and sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
Issue invoices and send friendly but firm payment reminders to partners and suppliers
Reconcile incoming payments and monitor outstanding balances
Review supplier billbacks and credits to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
Maintain organized financial records, including donation receipts and tax documentation
Support annual compliance and submission for 1% for the Planet certification and other sustainability initiatives
Collaborate with the General Manager to support financial reporting and system improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications
Basic understanding of accounting principles, especially A/R and A/P
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks independently
Professional and clear communicator in English, with a firm yet courteous tone
Proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel); familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
Ability to work remotely and maintain regular communication and accountability
Must be USA-based or available to work Eastern Time hours
Personal or professional interest in wellness, sustainability, or conscious consumerism is preferred
Bonus Qualities
Experience with charitable giving, nonprofit tax documentation, or sustainability certifications (e.g., 1% for the Planet)
Familiarity with consumer packaged goods (CPG) or mission-driven brands
Spanish language skills
