Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the Finance Department.
Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Manage cash flow, investments, and risk management strategies.
Ensure compliance with Afghan taxation laws, financial regulations, and international accounting standards.
Supervise and build the capacity of finance teams in Balkh office.
Provide financial analysis to support executive decision-making and business growth.
Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring accountability and compliance.
Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA/Finance preferred).
Minimum 10 years of progressive work experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior management role (preferably with large companies, INGOs, or corporate institutions).
Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
Advanced knowledge of financial software (QuickBooks, ERP, or similar systems).
Excellent analytical, budgeting, and forecasting abilities.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English (reading, writing, speaking).
Ability to work under pressure and manage complex financial operations.
