Financial Aid Cash Management Specialist
The Financial Aid Cash Management Specialist is responsible for completing the process of stipends and credit balances as defined by the Department of Education. Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables

Reviews and completes Title IV credit balance reports on weekly basis

Reviews and approves stipend reports on weekly basis

Creates reports for disbursement and refund detail

Reconciles annual campus expenditures for California State Grant

Prepares and submits annual reports to CSAC

Posts Financial Aid activity to General Ledger

Manage VA debt letters

Perform other duties as assigned

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree required

10 years of experience in Financial Aid may be considered in lieu of post-secondary degree

Must not currently be in default on any Federal Student Loans or go into default on any

Federal Student Loans while employed

Must be detailed oriented and be a quick learner of complex processes

Must multi-task successfully and have strong time management

Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasks

Safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations

Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneously

Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the position

Ability to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders

Salary:

Competitive market salary from $20.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour* depending on qualifications and experience
