Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to manage and oversee the financial operations of two healthcare-related businesses owned and operated by a husband and wife team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with the ability to handle both strategic high-level tasks and day-to-day operations such as accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and reconciliation. This role requires versatility and a hands-on approach to ensure both businesses run smoothly from a financial perspective.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Manage and coordinate the financial operations of both businesses, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Accounting & Bookkeeping: Oversee all daily accounting tasks, including AR, AP, payroll, bank reconciliation, and general ledger entries.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both businesses. Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for business improvement.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the business owners to create and maintain annual budgets and cash flow forecasts for each business, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management: Monitor and manage invoicing, collections, and vendor payments to ensure the businesses maintain healthy cash flow.

Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

Compliance & Regulatory Requirements: Ensure both businesses comply with all relevant healthcare industry regulations and accounting standards, including tax filings, insurance requirements, and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance where applicable.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency across both businesses, focusing on financial and operational workflows.

Strategic Financial Planning: Work with the business owners to assess financial health, provide insights, and recommend actions for growth or cost-saving opportunities.

Team Management: If applicable, manage or supervise any administrative or finance staff, providing training and guidance when needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

At least 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or business operations.

Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required.

Strong understanding of AR, AP, reconciliation, payroll, and general accounting processes.

Comfortable with high-level financial strategy as well as managing day-to-day financial tasks.

Proficiency in financial software and tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel, etc.).

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with both business owners and external stakeholders.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and be comfortable with taking initiative.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation.

Familiarity with healthcare regulations, billing practices, and insurance protocols.

Experience with business growth and scalability in a small to medium-sized organization.
