The Role
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking Forensic Document Examiners with regional expertise across Eastern Europe to support our legal and human rights work. This is a remote, freelance opportunity ideal for professionals with a background in forensic science and document analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Examine and analyze official documents for authenticity and consistency
Prepare professional written opinions and reports suitable for legal proceedings
Provide expert commentary and insight into document formats, issuance processes, and potential irregularities in your country(ies) of expertise
Collaborate with legal teams, researchers, and expert networks on a case-by-case basis
Ideal Profile
Formal training or certification in forensic document examination
Proven experience handling or analyzing official documents from one or more countries in Eastern Europe
Strong analytical and report writing skills
Familiarity with legal, immigration, or asylum-related documentation a plus
Availability to work on a flexible, freelance basis
