We’re a growing digital media company running 10+ YouTube channels across genres like entertainment, storytelling, and personal finance. We’re a small, remote-first team of creative nerds who love the internet and move fast. Our content reaches millions, and we’re constantly building new teams to make it happen – editors, animators, writers, and more.
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a sharp, resourceful Freelance Recruiter to help us find talented people online. This is a remote, part-time role with flexible hours – perfect for someone who knows how to navigate online communities and enjoys spotting creative talent before the rest of the world catches on.
You’ll get hands-on experience with fast-growing creative teams and a chance to play a real role in shaping YouTube content from the inside.
What You’ll Be Doing:
– Source candidates for creative roles (editors, scriptwriters, voice artists, etc.)
– Post jobs on relevant platforms (Upwork, Reddit, Upgrade to see actual info, niche sites, etc.)
– Actively reach out to potential hires (cold DMs, forums, freelance groups)
– Pre-screen candidates based on clear criteria
– Share top prospects with the hiring manager for review
Here’s how it works: we’ll tell you what kind of person we’re looking for (e.g., someone who can make viral Minecraft parkour videos), and you’ll find promising candidates, check if they’re a fit, and send us the best ones. Simple, but critical to our growth.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
– You’ve done recruiting or talent sourcing before – ideally online and for creative roles
– You’re great at finding people in unexpected places (Upgrade to see actual info servers, niche forums, Reddit threads)
– You’re organized, independent, and communicate well
– You understand YouTube culture or content creation (or you’re curious and willing to learn fast)
Compensation:
– Starting Base pay: $1.50/hour (partUpgrade to see actual info hours)
– Performance bonus: $20 for every successful hire
(Most recruiters earn more through bonuses than base pay – your results drive your earnings)
(Simple Math: Just a new hire every 2 days and that’s additional $300 on top of your salary in just bonuses, but what if a new hire every day? Well, you get the point)
If things go well, this role can grow into a full-time position with more pay, responsibilities, and perks.
