Geologist

Location: Angola
My client is a global leader in diamond mining (since 2016), with a strong commitment to sustainable practices and community development. We They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mining Geologist to join their team at their open cast diamond mine in Angola.
Main Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Geology, Mining Project Appraisal, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in geological exploration and resource evaluation, preferably in open cast diamond mining.
Strong knowledge of geological mapping, sampling techniques, and drilling operations.
Proficient in geological software and data management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in a remote location and travel extensively within the mine site.
Fluency in English is essential. * Fluency in Portuguese would be beneficial
Responsibilities:
Conduct geological surveys and mapping to identify and evaluate diamond-bearing deposits.
Design and oversee drilling programs to explore and delineate mineral resources.
Analyze geological data to estimate ore reserves and grade distribution.
Collaborate with mining engineers to develop optimal mine plans and extraction strategies.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in geological exploration.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Support the implementation of sustainable mining practices and community engagement initiatives.
