Job Overview
We are seeking a Grant Researcher & Writer who will work with both our nonprofit and LLC to secure funding opportunities. You’ll be responsible for identifying potential grants, preparing compelling proposals, and tracking the entire application process. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in grant writing or fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Research
Identify and evaluate grants from local and international sources (government agencies, foundations, private organizations).
Track deadlines, application requirements, and relevant funding criteria.
Grant Writing & Proposal Development
Draft, edit, and finalize grant proposals tailored to each funding source.
Ensure proposals meet all guidelines, deadlines, and are written persuasively and professionally.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with leadership to gather information about programs, budgets, and organizational goals.
Coordinate with relevant staff to collect data, documents, and other required materials for applications.
Grant Calendar Management
Maintain a grant calendar with upcoming deadlines, renewal dates, and follow-up timelines.
Regularly update management on progress, successes, and new funding opportunities.
Grant Reporting & Follow-up
Compile post-award reports (if awarded) to funding organizations as required.
Keep track of metrics, budget usage, and program outcomes to satisfy grant requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on grant-writing best practices, new funding opportunities, and emerging trends.
Make recommendations to improve our funding strategies.

Qualifications & Skills
Proven Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a related field.
Strong Research Abilities: Familiarity with various grant portals, foundations, and philanthropic networks.
Excellent English Writing Skills: Ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling content.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: Strong attention to detail, especially with application requirements and deadlines.
Analytical Mindset: Able to interpret data, budgets, and program outcomes for proposals.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets); comfortable with project-management tools (Trello, Asana, or similar).
Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines without constant oversight.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
Preferred (But Not Required)
Knowledge of nonprofit operations, 501(c)(3) requirements, or corporate funding structures.
Familiarity with U.S. or international grant databases (e.g., Grants.gov, Foundation Center).
Experience writing technical proposals or business plans.
