Position: Group Executive Chef
Location: Remote wilderness lodge in the Okavango Delta, Botswana
Reports to: Camp General Manager, Group General Manager, and Directors

Role Overview:
The Group Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations across our five lodges, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in each dish. This is a leadership role that requires extensive experience, strong management skills, and a deep commitment to enhancing the guest experience through exquisite dining. The role is based in a remote setting, requiring flexibility and an adventurous spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership: Lead and inspire culinary teams across 5fg lodges, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring that all chefs and kitchen staff maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Menu Development & Innovation: Design seasonal and regionally inspired menus that align with our luxury brand and cater to the discerning tastes of our international guests.
Quality & Consistency: Maintain a consistent level of excellence in food quality, presentation, and taste across all lodges.
Training & Development: Mentor and train culinary teams, emphasizing skills development, teamwork, and adherence to culinary best practices.
Operational Management: Oversee kitchen operations, including budgeting, cost control, and procurement, ensuring that all lodges are well-stocked and efficient.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all kitchens adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of experience as an Executive Chef, ideally with multi-property or remote lodge experience.
Proven track record in luxury hospitality, with a passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
Highly adaptable, resilient, and comfortable living in remote settings for extended periods.
A deep appreciation for sustainability and using local ingredients to create authentic, high-quality cuisine.
