Job Description:
To foster self-reliance, care for the poor and those in need, and provide; opportunities for giving and service, assisting members in preparing for and responding to disasters and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering and build self-reliance among peoples of all nationalities and religions. This position includes development of high quality humanitarian initiative concept notes and project proposals linked to the Area strategy, humanitarian project planning, approval, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, working with priesthood councils to implement impactful initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight for humanitarian project implementation to ensure strict compliance with policies, procedures, standards, timeliness, cost-effective and high-quality delivery of project activities.
Ensure efficient logistics management for timely project delivery by overseeing procurement contracting, implementation, and evaluation of employed goods, supplies, and services.
Ensure strong accountability to beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
Organize planning meetings with relevant parties to develop an annual work-plan and corresponding budget plan with clearly stated milestones contributing to the achievement of target outputs defined in the Area Humanitarian Annual Plan.
Liaise with and foster strategic relationships with government and other local partners, as needed.
Develop and update quarterly work plans and expenditure plans based on the agreed annual work-plan.
Organize regular meetings collaborating organisations, services providers, and stakeholders to assess work progress, discuss challenges and constraints, and provide guidance and support.
Ensure systematic and effective implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning programmes including but not limited to extensive and regular field visits to humanitarian project locations and implementing corrective measures to keep projects on the right track for achieving the planned results.
Qualifications:
Must be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
Must be in possession of a three-year degree in Humanities and/or any business related.
Proven willingness to serve and help others, with excellent Project Management skills.
Must have at least 5 years of related work experience.
Must be familiar with the use remote meeting software when face-to-face meetings are not possible, and have advanced office skills, highly efficient with computerized business applications (spreadsheets, tables, forms, charts, etc.), and have good research, analytical and data summation skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work within a team.
