In-House Litigation and Commercial Counsel (Remote)

An opportunity to provide contentious and transactional advice to a major player in the private education sector. This role can be fully remote or hybrid, with offices based in Central London.

This a broad and varied role which will see the successful candidate exposed to complex and interesting work.

Key responsibilities include:

Dealing with contentious matters

Managing a caseload from pre-action to trial

Dealing with commercial matters:

Structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, such as platform agreements, licences, terms & conditions, SLAs, partnership agreements with universities, representative agreements, etc.

Working directly with the sales operations, IT, marketing and procurement teams among others

Managing, supervising and training junior associates and trainees

Ensuring that all agreements are commercially and legally sound and in line with head office requirements

Updating legal manual for commercial contracts

Lawyers specialising in Commercial Litigation with a minimum of 3 years PQE|Opportunity to advise on a broad range of legal matters

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

Excellent academics and good training from a top tier City firm

Strong Litigation and general commercial experience

Multitasking skills

Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Be a client-facing and entrepreneurial team player

Comfortable working alongside other senior lawyers on complex matters or running their own matters independently.
