ENVIRONMENT:
A Cape Town-based IT & Services company is seeking an Intermediate Full-Stack Developer to join their distributed product team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Laravel and VueJS, supported by a strong PHP background. They value professionals who thrive in asynchronous environments and take a proactive approach to their work.
DUTIES:
Develop and maintain features in Laravel and VueJS
Follow documented tickets and technical specs
Communicate clearly in written form with teammates
Use Git and Docker as part of your regular workflow
Participate in team calls and async reviews
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years PHP experience
2+ years Laravel
2+ years VueJS
1+ year PostgreSQL
1+ year Docker (for local dev environments)
2+ years using Git for source control
Nice-to-Have / Advantageous Experience:
JetBrains PhpStorm experience
Exposure to Agile working practices (e.g., standups, ticket-based workflows)
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, etc)
Basic experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
