Duties:
Work as proxy Product Owner
Work with stakeholders to help them understand the benefits of Agile and how it can help their business. Help the development team understand the business requirements and how they can be met using Agile methods.
Identify key stakeholders involved in system enhancement or development
Holds discussions with stakeholders to understand their requirements and their vision of the product. This is then translated into business needs and communicated to the team members to make them understand the expectations of the project.
Conduct Requirements Gathering Sessions with the business – eliciting, facilitating, documenting, and finalizing business requirements (e.g. process modelling, data, business rules, functions, etc.)
Develop and grooming the product backlog refers to establishing user stories that represent the overall scope of the project.
Facilitating sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions, as well as helping to ensure that the development team clearly understands the user stories they are working on.
Make market and internal research to identify alternatives that may cover business needs
Collaborate with customers to ensure alternatives have been carefully considered and that the chosen solution meets business objectives
Document specifications to the appropriate detail level using proper templates
Collaborate with technical specialists
Develop test cases and plans, run system testing, conduct testing validation
Ensure business requirements are met
Communicate and document any identified risks and/or issues
Ensure document is completed, reviewed and accepted / approved
Communicate project tasks status to Project Manager on periodical basis
Communicate any specification/task changes and their impact on project schedule
Apply Company’s standards, processes, policies and procedures
Guide and share knowledge with other Business Analysts
Knowledge
Understands the Agile methodology and can help a business use Agile principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to quickly understand existing business processes, analyze and structure the data.
MS Visio advanced user
Good meeting facilitation and presentation skills
Business Analysis techniques such as BPMN, UML Use case Modelling, Data Modelling, Entity Relationship Diagram, Affinity diagram, mind mapping. Mock ups
Solution Design, system mockups
Knowledge of project management (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum methodologies)
Fluent level of English: writing and speaking
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Technologies, Software Engineering
Experience
3+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure or Business Applications support area
5+ years of proved experience as ITM Business Analyst
