We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Safari Consultant to assist in delivering top-notch safari services and support our front-end sales operations.
Job Overview:
As a Junior Safari Consultant, you’ll be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of all sales operations. You’ll work closely with the Senior Safari Consultant and be responsible for a range of tasks that contribute to the seamless delivery of exceptional safari experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
SOPs and Reservations Systems Management:

Master all systems used by the Safari Consultant team.

Manage reservations and troubleshoot issues.

Follow standard operating procedures and ensure optimal team performance.

Oversee inbox management during team absences on a rotational basis.

Business Development:

Create and maintain outstanding safari itineraries and build strong relationships with lodges and suppliers.

Cultivate repeat guests and generate new leads.

Negotiate rates and close trip files within 7 days.

Customer Service:

Ensure top-notch customer satisfaction through prompt and professional communication.

Address all incidents and complaints effectively.

Maintain a 24-hour turnaround time via email and a 2-hour turnaround via WhatsApp.

Planning Itineraries:

Collaborate on creating impactful safari itineraries.

Develop costings, book accommodations, flights, and activities, and communicate all details to guests and suppliers.

Manage provisional bookings and coordinate personalized touches for guests.

General Business Support:

Provide administrative support, including booking accommodations and handling general business tasks.

Cover phone duties on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.

Requirements & Skills Needed:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality/travel industry; consulting experience is a plus.

Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and online agent portals.

Strategic thinking with a practical approach.

Passion for personalization and sustainability.

A growth mindset with proven ability to motivate and influence others.

Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high levels of satisfaction.
