Project Details:
As a Lead tvOS Engineer, you will architect, develop, and maintain high-quality tvOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI, and play a key role in extending the platform’s experience to various devices such as Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and even Vision Pro.
Responsibilities:
Architect and develop high-performance tvOS applications
Own the end-to-end tvOS app lifecycle—from concept to App Store
Translate complex Figma designs into functional features
Build modular, reusable components for the video SDK
Collaborate with Product and Design teams to ship features on time
Troubleshoot, debug, and improve performance across Apple platforms
Drive CI/CD process improvements and incident response
Mentor junior tvOS engineers and foster technical excellence
Participate in sprint planning and agile delivery
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial tvOS development
Strong skills in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Apple development tools (Xcode, Instruments)
Proven track record building and releasing Apple TV apps to the App Store
Experience with AVKit or AVFoundation for video/audio streaming and playback
Proficiency with REST, JSON-RPC, or gRPC APIs
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
Experience leading development efforts, mentoring, and making architectural decisions
Knowledge of focus-based navigation and performance optimization on Apple TV
Excellent communicator with strategic thinking skills
