Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support the legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our legal services. Your fluency in both Spanish and English, along with your excellent organizational and communication skills, will be essential in providing high-quality support to our attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities:
Bilingual Communication: Fluently communicate in both Spanish and English, both written and oral.
Organization: Maintain and organize files, documents, and records with attention to detail.
Client Interaction: Answer calls and schedule appointments when the attorney is unavailable, providing excellent customer service.
Scheduling and Calendaring: Schedule appointments, calendar court dates, and manage court case deadlines.
Document Drafting: Draft various letters, including welcome letters, closing case letters, and demands.
Contract Management: Send contracts for representation to clients and follow up to ensure signatures are obtained.
Client Support: Answer non-legal questions from clients and provide necessary information.
Document Requests: Request and organize documents from clients as needed.
Medical Records: Request and manage medical records required for cases.
Email Management: Respond to emails promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Fluency in Spanish and English (written and oral) is a must.
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is required.
Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
