Luxury safari Camp in the Okavango Delta is looking for a Management Couple. The Lodge Management couple includes a range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation and overall guest satisfaction at Camp, or any other Camp within the group’s portfolio in Botswana.

To ensure an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the camp’s efficiency and sustainability and a motivated, trained, and engaged staff complement within prescribed budgets.

To ensure an exceptional private guiding experience for all guests delivered in the most professional manner that enriches the guests and delivers above expectation.

To acquire and deliver best in class digital media to be used on all platforms in accordance with the strategy provided by the digital marketing service provider.

Prerequisites:

One member must have a valid Botswana guide’s licence and valid PRDP driver’s licence.

Both must be:

Self-disciplined, punctual and respectful.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills for international guests with diverse cultures. Must have an outgoing hosting personality.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for staff, being respectful of their culture. A basic knowledge of Setswana or another African language is recommended.

Must be familiar with basic vehicle maintenance in order to communicate with the mechanics to troubleshoot problems.

Must be familiar with how to drive in a variety of on- and off-road conditions.

Must be familiar with radio etiquette and able to ensure that radio conversations are kept short and direct, with no unnecessary chatter.

Good initiative to cope with difficult situations in a remote environment.

First aid training to handle trauma care.

Requirements:

Degree or 3-year Diploma in tourism hospitality or similar qualification.

Professional Safari Guide Certification.

Walking Guide qualification.

First Aid and CPR certification

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in camp management.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional guiding and walking guide qualification.

Basic knowledge of hybrid solar energy plants, water plants and sewerage treatment plants, mechanics, electrical and carpentry.

Decisive and clear leadership skills to deal with a crisis and quick decision-making.

General knowledge including the geography of Botswana and southern Africa as well as current world affairs.

Driver’s licence and knowledge of off-road driving and vehicle recovery methods.

Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and have competent computer skills.

Must become familiar with the relevant government policies and Acts that govern safari tourism operations in Botswana.

In-depth knowledge of Botswana’s wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation efforts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Well-presented and articulate.

Photographic skills and digital media equipment knowledge essential.
