JOB OVERVIEW
Our short-term rental (STR) management company is seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Coordinator (Level II) to oversee maintenance operations across our properties.
This leadership role is responsible for coordinating repairs, managing vendors, and supervising a maintenance team member to ensure a seamless experience for our guests and property owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Coordination & Oversight:
– Manage and track all maintenance requests for short-term rental properties
– Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure timely repairs
– Maintain detailed records of maintenance issues, costs, and resolutions
– Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules while managing vendor availability and property vacancies
Vendor & Team Management:
– Assign and oversee tasks for a direct team member
– Source, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance services
– Ensure quality repairs while managing costs effectively
– Emergency Monitoring (1 Day per Week):
– Be available within 30 minutes for urgent maintenance concerns/Guest Communication on the 1-weekend day you work
– Provide emergency guest communication support if necessary (this is not a guest communication role, but backup coverage may be required)
Salary:
~ $440 per month (full-time)
30-day probation period at $70 per week (30 hours), with potential extension
Hired Work Schedule:
40 hours per week | 6 days per week
Five days focused on administrative maintenance tasks
One day on-call for emergency maintenance monitoring
Skills Required:
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and spoken English communication
Proficiency in Google Sheets, Airtable, and OpenPhone, WhatsApp, Hospitable
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions under pressure
Preferred Traits:
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Reliable and proactive in handling tasks
Able to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong interpersonal skills for vendor and team communication
