Mission:
The QSE Manufacturing function is a cross-functional role established to ensure compliance with standards at the factory level and provide necessary support in terms of safety, quality, food safety, and environmental concerns.
The work primarily takes place in an administrative setting but may require fieldwork at ECCBC Algeria’s factories. The concerned manager must be available to provide support in case of emergencies outside normal working hours. Travel to ECCBC Algeria sites or other business units (for training, meetings, audits, etc.) may be required.
Responsibilities:
Implementation of QSE standards
Standardize and align the integrated management system (processes, objectives, documentation system, and best practices) across the 3 factories;
Ensure the continuous improvement of the IMS/industrial processes (updates, migration, changes regarding all applicable requirements…)
Participate in analyzing the causes of incidents and provide necessary support to QFS and HSE site managers.
Supervise the monitoring of actions related to quality, food safety, safety, and environment with the site’s HSE/CQ managers.
Lead periodic reviews of the SDA system and ensure implementation of decisions.
Prepare and facilitate the QSE committee and the “industrial part” management review.
Ensure availability and compliance with all material and packaging standards.
Participate in defining supplier specifications.
Participate in annual supplier evaluations.
Coordinate the activity of the co packers with ECCBC Algeria sites & ensure the compliance to the established ECCBC QSE specifications.
Provide support to operations to formalize root cause analysis, CAPA development, and implementation.
Ensure sharing of lessons learned from incidents to prevent recurrence.
Implement the self-monitoring implementation plan with the sites.
Lead cross-functional improvement projects with operational processes.
Participate in improvement and optimisation projects.
Verify GMP compliance and monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions/anomalies with the sites.
Validate annual update of the SDA analysis and upon any changes (new equipment, new line…).
Participate in site operations meetings “OPM” conducted by the sites.
Supervise adherence to the external analysis schedule and participate in cause analysis, action plan implementation, and monitoring of realization and effectiveness.
Contribute to proposing site QSE budgets.
Complaints management
Ensure the effectiveness of action plans relating to Site product complaints.
Monitor the trend of complaints: Recurrence, Type of Non conformities.
Ensure responsiveness in processing site product complaints.
QSE & Continuous Improvement Compliance Audit
Ensure compliance with applicable KO requirements.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of action plans.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Plan and perform GMP’s audits in collaboration with QC and HSE managers.
Participate in various improvement projects focusing on product quality/process improvement and safety culture.
Training & Quality, Safety and Environment Culture
Ensure training of the industrial team in terms of quality, food safety and security in collaboration with QC and Safety managers.
Participate in improving the quality and safety culture at site level.
Implementation of a QSE training plan for production sites.
Reporting
Ensure the communication of agreed quality reports to the hierarchy within the required deadlines.
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
– Science degree (Chemical, Engineering, Food Industry, etc).
– High Knowledge on QSE audits and international standards (ISO 9001, 22000, 14000, OHSAS, etc).
– Good level of English. French will be very useful.- Advance level of all the Office Package
AREAS OF EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE:
– More than 3 years of experience as Quality technician.
– Desirable experience in Fast Moving Consumer Good companies preferably in Beverage or food industry.
– Expertise in manufacturing sites (production, quality, etc).
– Experience with team working with remote teams.
– Knowledge of international QSE certifications.
– Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.
