Position : Market Manager – Gaborone
We are recruiting for our client, a Munich-based pharmaceutical company, for the position of Market Manager in Gaborone, Botswana.

Responsibilities include:
Strategy & Growth:

Develop a multi-year marketing strategy and budget plan in collaboration with the HQ team.

Achieve sales, market share, and profitability targets in the assigned area.

Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.

Develop branding strategies to enhance brand awareness across all communication channels.

Distribution:

Ensure product availability in various market sectors such as pharmacies and hospitals.

Monitor and report on distribution network performance to HQ.

Implement sales strategies to manage slow-moving stock in coordination with the Country Supervisor.

Marketing:

Create marketing programs, sponsorships, promotions, advertising campaigns, and media strategies.

Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches.

Allocate resources and schedule marketing activities to maximize ROI.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives.

Team Leadership:

Ensure full coverage of the assigned area by a motivated team of Medical and Pharma Representatives.

Foster team motivation and development aligned with company standards.

Ensure team activities adhere to company strategy and promotion plans.

Analyze team performance and provide corrective recommendations as needed.

Educational Background:

University degree in life sciences (e.g., medicine, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, veterinary) or in marketing, management, or business administration.

Professional healthcare qualifications (e.g., medical doctor, pharmacist) with relevant experience.

Knowledge in medical and pharmaceutical sciences required.

Professional Experience:

Significant professional experience in a similar role (+ 4 years / mandatory).
