Job Description
The Medical Escort plays a critical role in ensuring the coordination and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Serving as a logistical liaison, this role connects beneficiaries with local medical facilities, the Care Coordination Team, and the Guest Medical Clinic. As an on-site and off-site representative of International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. they ensure seamless care delivery through hands-on case management and direct patient support.
Key Responsibilities:

Escort patients to and from the medical facility and CARE Doha.

Assist with patient check-in and to the appointment.

Effectively communicate medical terms and context between physician, patient, and interpreter.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology.

Ensure seamless and accurate transmission of information.

Acknowledge the sensitive nature of patient information.

Complete project required training on medical privacy and non-disclosure of information.

Comply with established medical privacy standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of medical information.

Facilitate timely referrals.

Coordinate transportation and appointment logistics.

Maintaining accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation in the Care Coordination System.

Work collaboratively with healthcare providers.

Upholds patient confidentiality.

Follow infection control protocols.

Contributes to continuous service improvement by participating in daily operations, on-call rotations, and team initiatives.

Obtain medical records from MSS as necessary.

Obtain medical records from Qatar provider.

Assist with patient discharge / checkout.

Provide all relevant medical information to MSS clinical staff as necessary.

Perform administrative tasks such as answering calls, responding to messages, and supporting the Case Management and Billing and Coding teams.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

Participate in office meetings, task force groups, and workflow improvement initiatives.

Crosstrain to support operational needs within case management, billing and coding.

Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all communications with coworkers and clients, fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment that values diversity.

Participate in mass-casualty drills twice a year and remain available for on-call coverage.

Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare.

Experience in a clinic or hospital setting.

Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, patient treatment confidentiality and HIPPA compliance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Education Required:

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Obtain provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Education Preferred:

Current and unrestricted nursing license from country of origin.

Experience in clinic / hospital setting in medical records handling or patient administration.

Ability to obtain provided Advanced Cardiac Life Support

(ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Physical Demands:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.

May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Occasionally involves extended hours beyond normal workday.

Other Special Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.

This position is unaccompanied.

The ability to obtain a base security clearance.

Must be able to relocate to Qatar.

A valid passport from Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
